Parked at Prof Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha, Colombo 07. They do a wonderful job with their flavors being authentic but yet sticking up to fulfill our Lankan taste buds with generous portion sizes.
Here is what we tried :
Drinks
Lime Juice
Watermelon Juice
The juices here were nothing much honestly just your basic regular homemade type juices with tad a bit more of sugar with less fruit and more sugar and water.
Sides
Hot butter prawns (Rs.950)
This will definitely be a crowd pleaser as this is one of the main dishes that one will order when they visit any Chinese restaurant in Sri Lanka.
Although it is a bit pricey this dish is filled with lots of golden crunchy crispy batter fried prawns in butter and chilli oil with spring onions.
Sweet & Sour Pork (Rs.850)
We could barely even say that this is pork!!
Trust me it’s not even oily at all but still chewy and crispy we truly mistook it for cuttle fish the sweetness from sugar and pineapple plus the tangy ketchup and sharp rice vinegar-with the crispy fried pork pieces.
The perfect balance of the sweet vs. sour taste of this soul dish will be the best when paired with the spicyness of the nasi goreng.
Prawn balls (Rs.750)
WARNING!!
*This is not your regular deep fried balls*
If you are a true seafood lover and love the Chinese flavour, this is a must try as a starter when you dine in at Nom Nom Chinese truck.
Flavorful prawn filling breaded in bread cubes fried to a crispy joy with my favorite garlic taste being infused in every bite.
Best eaten with sweet and sour sauce!!
Mains
Seafood Nasigoreng (Rs.1000)
Deliciously spicy extra flavourful rice with lots of cashew nuts, cuttle fish, prawns and fish served with a bulls eye egg, local papadam and my favorite fruit PINEAPPLE!!
Literally A-A-AMAZING ultimate comfort food for spice lovers.
Spicy Fried rice noodles (Rs.950)
Crispy fried noodles with seafood and vegetable chopsuey best eaten hot!
I like this a lot although it’s a bit oily the amazing flavours made my taste buds go ooohhh-la-laaaa
In conclusion:
This is a whole new concept and the best place to eat a hearty meal on budget and hey it looks wonderful there after 6pm
