Travel Guide - Mirissa

Mirissa, a small town famous on instagram for the “Coconut Tree Hill” is located down the south coast of Sri Lanka, in the Matara District. It is approximately 150 kilometres south of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 4 metres above sea level.

Mirissa’s beach and nightlife make it a popular tourist destination.

The area has it all, beautiful beaches, surf waves, whale watching and great bars and restaurants.

Although restaurants in Mirissa are ubiquitous, Petti Petti Mirissa will be our favourite hangout spot for good food and an entirely chilly vibe by the beach in Mirissa with a promising view.

Petti Petti Mirissa

Petti Petti, box box in English, is a convetainer hotel project in the making, is one of the newest additions to the fine dining restaurants down south overlooking the popular turquoise beach strip in Mirissa with a whole new contemporary petti petti concept.

Starbeans Cafe

In my next foodie journey we made a pit stop after a particularly exhausting day just around the corner at the Starbeans Cafe.

Travel for food blog, a team of two foodies, was just a tiny thought which turned out into a reality with so much of hard work to help the general public to be aware of the unseen small scale to large scale restaurant/cafes/hotels through creative informative content, pictures and videos. Our main audience is the foodies from all over the world who wants to enjoy good food and travel around without having a hole drilled in their pocket.
