Caught up a brand-new high tea platter from The Radh at our delicious city Kandy.

The Radh, is a recently open luxury boutique hotel at the tip of Colombo Street near The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. The Radh has a very eye catchy Royal themed uniqueness inside the hotel. The unique Royal theme inside hotel can be defined with their name The Radh.

We checked out The Radh for their royal-tea. It was a platter and available for reservations during 3pm to 6pm in their main restaurant. Priced at 2750 LKR for two people and it comes with 3 tiered unique designable platter. Simply, it was a instagramable evening tea for us!

We got our high-tea platter on time because we made an early reservation. The platter came with 6 savory items and 8 sweet items with the drink options as tea, coffee or iced milo.

When compared to most of the high teas in Kandy they had a wide range of decent sized savoury items. Hot dog, Prawn and avocado tart, chicken and mushroom tart, veg spring roll and a cutlet. Although the taste of the items were mediocre we were generally pleased with the overall experience.

The sweet selection was better than savory, they served Cone mousse, Chocolate dipped bubble waffle bar, Carrot toffee, Chocolate biscuit pudding, Brownie Cheesecake, Fruit tart and Chocolate mousse. Out of all, the delicious one was the chocolate biscuit pudding.

We were given three options as our beverage. Tea, coffee & Iced Milo. We selected Iced Milo as our drink. It was a bit extra sweet but it had the Milo flavour well.

The overall High tea experience was really good. We can recommend this for anyone who’s looking for a place to have luxury High tea platter in the hillcity. Their service was excellent, from the making of reservation to the final day they gave us a quality service. With all good details one more thing to be added is, the restaurant location where the high tea was served did not have a very calm and relaxing environment. The guests and the staff walking around and it was a little disturbing.

We will rate 8/10 about our overall high tea experience at The Radh.
