Been a while since we have updated anything on our blog but hey here is to one of the best burgers I’ve tried in a while and it’s from none the less than at Hilton Colombo’s Cafe Kai.

For all of you who haven’t heard of these babies, Cafe Kai is having a promotion called the “Big Bold Burgers promotion” till the 22nd of July.

It offers five different flavors for everyone, including the vegetarians!

Here is what we tried off their menu

Lime and mint as drinks for the both of us.
I’m not very happy with this beverage for real but it looked good. The flavor was not that appealing for me because it was bitter.

PORK BELLY BURGER - Is your safe place in an unsafe world for Rs.1,288
BBQ marinated - slow cooked pork belly with pickled slaw with Japanese sesame dressing on white bun & homemade chunky chips
- This burger was my favorite pick from that day, it was succulent and humongous with sweet pork strips that melts in the mouth with every bite.

TANDOORI CHICKEN BURGER - Spice up your life for Rs.888
Tender Tandoori oven baked chicken with brie cheese, cucumber curd in
curry bun & homemade flavored masala chips
- There was something very interesting in this one, the yellow bun
With charred chunks of tender tandoori chicken bits and lots of veges filling my entire soul with the culinary delights of India in a burger.

My first impression on the both of these burgers was just wow!!
I just couldn’t get over how good it looked when it was served on heavy plates and the aroma itself made me more hungry!
The flavors on both of the burgers were just right and balanced by the gastronomic experts.

The service was just wow! With all the necessary safety post COVID-19 precautions taken highly.
The staff was attentive and the chef himself spoke to us personally to see if we were glad with the taste!
